As explained in a previous post, “Saju” refers to an individual’s birth energy based on Yin-Yang and the Five Elements.
Therefore, the core of Saju is simple and can be easily understood using various online tools. Subsequently, numerous Mingli scholars and self-proclaimed experts in the art of divination analyzed data gathered from books and their own experiences to develop it into a more concrete and rational theory. However, no matter how excellent a theory may be, it remains, after all, just a theory. If one relies solely on theory, accuracy is limited to about 70% at best.
Therefore, to accurately interpret Saju Palja, one must be able to read its energy through the “Dao” (Way). This is because everything begins with knowing oneself and one’s roots. In the case of shamans, the higher the spiritual level of the deity they serve, the greater their predictive accuracy.
As a “White Shaman”—who, without a divine possession, has learned to access cosmic wisdom through some 30 years of spiritual practice and self-reflection—when I analyze the Four Pillars of Destiny, I not only examine the principles of Yin-Yang and the Five Elements but also directly observe and verify the spiritual energy of the year, month, day, and hour (年月日時).
- Year (年): I read the energy of the client’s paternal and maternal ancestral spirits (先靈神).
- Month (月): I read the energy of the client’s father and mother.
- Day (日): I read the energy of the client’s spirit (靈) and soul (魂).
- Hour (時): I read the energy of the client’s current or future children.
By doing so, I am able to answer every question I encounter.
The most important element in the Four Pillars of Destiny is the Day Stem (日干). This is because everything revolves around the “True Self.” The “True Self” resides in the pineal gland within the head, and we call this the “Spirit.” To properly interpret the Day Stem, one must be able to read the energy of this Spirit, a practice we call “Spirit Divination.” Through Spirit Divination, one can see the Three Lives (past life, present life, and future life). This allows one to learn about past lives, understand the present life, and plan a proper future.
The next most important element is the Day Branch (日支). This is the “ego” that governs our physical body. The “ego” resides in the heart within the chest, and we call it the “soul” (魂). The soul (魂) plays a role in controlling memories and emotions. The root of all illnesses stems from the mind, and by reading the energy of this soul (魂), we can identify and analyze the causes of our mental and physical ailments.
Since ancestors, parents, oneself, and children are interconnected like roots, stems, flowers, and fruits, if we first read the energy of the “spirit” and “soul” which are the central elements, we can also read other information connected to that energy.
In the case of compatibility analysis, since it involves determining whether two different people can achieve harmony when they meet, further explanation is needed; I will address that topic separately later.
Just as there are general practitioners and renowned specialists among Western doctors, the skill level of those who interpret the Four Pillars of Destiny varies vastly from person to person.
