In this universe there are the concepts of Sangsaeng and Sanggeuk. Sanggeuk is generally understood as the principle behind destruction, fighting or life taking. So its connotation is negative. Sangsaeng on the other hand is generally understood as the principle of nourishment, harmony and live giving. Its connotation is therefore positive.
For this understanding people assume that they are supposed to strive for Sangsaeng and avoid Sanggeuk. However, as it is with everything in the universe, those principles have two sides.
Sanggeuk and Sangsaeng simply describe the relationship between yin and yang in a specific context. When yin is dominated by yang its Sanggeuk, when yin is on top and yang underneath its sangsaeng.
So of course, under the principle of Sanggeuk you will see a lot of competition, conflict and destruction, but you will also see innovation, growth and abundance.
Under the principle of Sangsaeng however, beneath its surface of peace and harmony you will find stagnation and deterioration.
Based on that knowledge you will understand that on one hand peace comes at a price, and that on the other hand you can find beauty in destruction and a chance for inner growth in conflict.
